Residence Hall Testimonials

Living on-campus has helped me get to know most of the people who live in the residence halls. Each building is like a small community filled with friendly helpful neighbors. Being so close to all of my classes relieves me from the burden of driving back and forth to school each day.

Living in the residence halls allows me to sleep a little later before classes start since I don’t have to drive to school. Also, it has allowed me the opportunity to meet people and make friends. Since I’m close to my classes, I can walk or jog to class for exercise.

The most attractive aspect about Butler Community College is the people in it. I have never been in a place where consistent hospitality is the norm of the day, all year. Everybody in all the offices is happy/willing to lend a helping hand and assist you in anything you need assistance on. What struck me the most is the humility and dedication of these Butler employees. It is healthy and I think a very positive experience to be around role models everyday because you in turn become one.
Another attractive quality BCC possess is the teacher student interaction in class, you are not restricted to being a mannequin, you are encouraged to ask questions and contribute while in class. It is nice to be able to have a one on one with your teacher when in doubt of a concept. Most of my teachers had a dynamically unique way of presenting their respective courses, they do not only simply lecture, they try as much as possible to show practically what they are emphasizing theoretically. This is especially beneficial when the concept is abstract. Out of all my classes taken at Butler, my Statics class was the best. It was a hard and at the same time simple class.
Butler Community College has a lot of diversity. My horizons broaden a great deal just by interacting with people of different ethnic descents. By the way, the cafeteria is where I met and made most or all my friends so word of advice, “Go to the Cafeteria”. Becoming a Resident Assistant was one of the best things that happened to me, it was then I fully hatched out of my shell and became fully aware of the demands of the world.
Summarily, my experience at Butler was to die for, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. One descriptive word for it would be, “enriching”.
