Meet the Director

Hello,

My name is Kristina Krau, I am the new Director of Residence Life and very excited about my first year with all of you in residence life.

I have worked for the University of Oklahoma Athletic department as the Assistant Sooner Housing Center Coordinator for the past 5 years. During that time my housing center received the President's Trophy for "Outstanding Housing Center".

As a Director of Residence Life I would strive to create a housing center that encourages the active growth and development of our individual residents that make up our diverse student population through leadership development and programming. Because of my immense passion for student development, I hope to have the opportunity to advise and assist our students in discovering an educational direction that best serves their personal interest and academic goals.

On a personal note, I grew up in Hawaii, but I am not a surfer. Received my Bachelor of Science in Communication, minor in Geology from the University of Southern Oregon and Masters Degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma. I enjoy being involved in the local community through different organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and Race for the Cure.  One of my passions that you will enjoy is baking cookies. I like to open the door so the smell goes down the hallway., it does not take very long for a group to form.
